Orange County Sheriff Charles Blackwood is offering a $5000.00 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Anne H. Kirkpatrick. Kirkpatrick died Sunday in Hurdle Mills after a violent assault. An off-duty deputy discovered her body lying in the front yard of her home located at 2509 Brown Road early that afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case as a homicide; they are not releasing information about cause of death at this time. “We have been working this case since Sunday. The kind of work involved in a case like this is complicated, but we will get there,” said Sheriff Blackwood. “That said, someone knows something that will help us get there more quickly. Anne Kirkpatrick deserves justice. We want to provide that for her, for her family, and for this community as soon as possible.”

Zach Baldwin is the lead investigator in the case. Please call him with any information at (919) 245-2939.
