Carillon Assisted Living of Hillsborough will host the Victorian Carolers, an authentic Dickens-era Christmas caroling group, as they perform a free concert at the assisted living community on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monetary donations will be raised during the event to benefit the Hillsborough Police Department.
The Hillsborough caroling concert is part of a companywide effort to welcome families and friends to Carillon’s communities for a fun, festive celebration featuring the traditions of Christmas’ past and present. The Victorian Carolers will perform their signature style of Dickens-era classics in full Victorian dress costume from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. during the event.
“Our Carillon Christmas Concert is a way to bring people together around the very traditions that unite us at the holiday season, and in effect, all year long,” said Karen Moriarty, Carillon President and CEO. “It is so important to center those festivities around our seniors, because they are the ones who taught us to honor those Christmas traditions and to pass them on to our children.”
In addition to music and caroling, the event will feature delicious holiday fare and incorporate charitable giving opportunities to help the Hillsborough Police Department, which serves all people within its jurisdiction through community-based policing and building partnerships.
