Hillsborough police have identified a suspect in a South Churton St. shooting on Tuesday night that left one adult suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are seeking Elijah Rashad Dobson, 24, who is believed to be responsible for shooting into the victim’s vehicle, which also contained an infant. 

Dobson was driving a tan or beige 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300 sedan with North Carolina license plate HAM-151 and is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He weighs around 130 pounds and frequents areas in Raleigh and Durham.

Police are considering Dobson armed and dangerous. No warrants are on file at this time.

Police responded to the shooting near the intersection of South Churton St. with Cardinal Dr. at around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The infant in the vehicle was unharmed and has been returned to her mother.
