Over a month later, a Raleigh man has been arrested and apprehended in connection with a South Churton St. shooting that took place on April 16. 

Elijah Rashad Dobson, 24, of Raleigh, was found in Burlington Tuesday and taken into custody by agents with a local fugitive task force of the U.S. Marshals Service. 

Dobson is accused of shooting into an occupied vehicle near the intersection of Cardinal Dr. and South Churton St. on a Tuesday night in April, near the McDonald’s. A victim had multiple gunshot wounds and remains hospitalized. An infant in the victim’s vehicle was unharmed in the incident and was later returned to its mother. 

Dobson was charged with attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, discharge of a weapon into occupied property, inflicting serious injury, and possession of a firearm by a felon. 

He is being held under a $1 million secured bond. No court date was announced in a press release issued by the Town of Hillsborough.
