Ricky Lee Walker, Jr., 30, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was born in Durham, the son of Ricky Lee Walker, Sr. and Kimberly Ann Laws Walker. Lee was a graduate of Cedar Ridge High School, Campbell University where he received a degree in English and Piedmont Community College where he received a degree in Film and Production. Lee was involved in several TV/Film projects including: American Idol, National Geographic, Oprah Winfrey Network, Bar Rescue and Union Bound. Lee’s current films Snubbed XX and The Grand Total will be completed by his fiancée, Humairia. He was employed with Dodson Bros Exterminators.
In addition to his parents, Lee is survived by his brother, Alek Walker (Izzy Bunch); fiancée, Humairia Areefa Islam; grandparents, Claude and Naydene Walker; aunts and uncles, Christal Small (Tim), Ray Walker (Kate), Claudine Korba, Heidi Laws (Bryan) and Burnice Laws (Caroline).
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 25 at Clements Funeral Chapel in Hillsborough. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at New Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
