The Tarheel Antiques Festival returns to the Barn at Lloyd’s Dairy the weekend of October 17 and 18. The event, which was inspired by a visit from Mike and Frank, stars of the History Channel TV show “American Pickers.”

The festival brought out thousands of antique lovers for its for summer sale in June. Craig Lloyd, who owns the Barn at Lloyd’s Dairy and is one of the organizers of the event, said he expects the crowds to be bigger this time.

“We’re taking all the safety precautions because of COVID,” he said. “We ask that people wear masks and social distance. We’ll have hand sanitizer stations. We also get information for contact tracing.”

He also said he expects up to 70 vendors, which is nearly double the number of vendors for the show in June.

The Barn at Lloyd’s Dairy is at 226 N. Lloyd's Road in Efland.
