The Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce will release its 2020 Virtual Holiday Parade video on Sunday, December 6th at 4:00 p.m. The Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the parade virtually this year in response to the current pandemic in an effort to keep the community safe. While many areas opted to cancel their holiday parades, the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber is one of the few that changed its format to continue the tradition.
Participants in the 2020 Virtual Holiday Parade included businesses and groups in Hillsborough and Orange County, North Carolina. The entries consisted of 30-second videos where participants sang holiday songs, decorated businesses cars, created dance or gym routines, posed for pictures, or videoed other socially distanced activities.
The Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce organizes the holiday parade each year, this year committing to keeping the season as normal as possible by creating a virtual parade. Communications Coordinator Katie Clark edited and produced the video for the community to have for this season and to save for years to come. The 2020 Virtual Holiday Parade Video is about 15 minutes long and also includes photos of past holiday events such as the previous 2019 Holiday Parade.
The 2020 Virtual Parade will be available from youtube and will be uploaded to the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page and website. A link to the video can be found at https://www.hillsboroughchamber.com/2020-virtual-christmas-parade/. The video will not be available until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6th.
