A 1930s radio to be featured in OCHM’s upcoming Date Night exhibit

The Orange County Historical Museum is seeking assistance with its upcoming exhibit, “Date Night: Orange County Fashion, Food, Music, and Fun.”  It is looking for clothing, photographs, and objects related to dating from 1900 to 1999 throughout the county.

The exhibit will open in April and run through September.  Its mission is to depict the types of clothing people wore on dates, the meals they ate as well as where they ate them, what music created the soundtrack for their dates, and what they did (the G-rated version only) on that date.

If you have any stories to share of fantastic or horrible date night stories or artifacts to share, please contact Exhibits and Programs Coordinator Courtney Smith at or call 919-732-2201.
